The Principle of Will: The Choice of God’s Will over my own is imperative.

We were created with free will. That is a good thing. We are able to make decisions based on our needs and wants. We have instincts that God gave us to protect us and keep us from harm. We have the ability to choose many different paths or directions in life and we can adopt whatever beliefs we want too.

The problem most people face, though, is when our free will becomes misguided, prideful or self-serving. We abuse our instincts and our free will to the point of harming ourselves and everyone around us. It happens to all of us. Obviously people with bad intentions are always trying to manipulate circumstances and situations to serve themselves and their interests. They constantly try to get everything working for their benefit.

What about good people? Do they also allow free will to make them selfish or self-serving? I would have to say the answer to that question is yes. Unless they are constantly checking and correcting their motives, over any length of time they will begin that slide into self-seeking selfishness. The free will that God so graciously gave us to enhance our life will become a trap if we fail to deal with it correctly.

The only way to avoid this trap is to be constantly asking God for leadership, wisdom and guidance to do what His will is for us. It’s when our will becomes aligned with His that we are able to do good things without having to worry about our motives. Ask God constantly to reveal His will to you throughout the day. When we learn to take the free will He has given us and turn it back over to Him, we begin to experience a freedom we have never know.

The Principle of Will: The Choice of God’s Will over my own is imperative.

Who’s will guides and directs your life? If you answered “mine” then you are missing out on an incredible life. A life filled with success and abundance beyond your wildest dreams. Your mind can’t comprehend the good things that are waiting for you. All you need to do is to lay aside your own selfish will and accept something far better. In fact it is perfect! It is God’s will for your life.

Yes it is true! You were created with a specific plan and purpose and put on this planet to accomplish this specific plan and purpose. You were also given free will; the ability to choose your own course of action. Unfortunately, many in our society have taken this free will and twisted and distorted it to meet their own selfish ambitions. They work hard, thinking that they know best for themselves. They try to make things happen and end up wondering why they can never get ahead. It’s heartbreaking to see so many people caught on this merry-go-round.

The answer is in surrender. When you learn to surrender your life and your will to God, amazing things begin to happen. Your life takes on new purpose and new meaning. What used to be difficult now gets easy. You understand the struggles and why they need to be endured. In short, you become a new person with new goals and new ambitions.

The sad thing is many people will read this, but few will act on it. They will continue to live their own selfish life. They will still be looking out for “number 1” and they will wonder why they can’t make their dream a reality.

Don’t be that person. Surrender your life and your will and you will be amazed at the new you!

The Principle of Will: The Choice of God’s Will over my own is imperative.

Who’s will are you seeking today? We are taught from a very young age to seek fame and fortune. The error in this is that it is a virtual certainty that when we seek these things that we are missing God’s call on our life. These are things that society places a high value on, but usually lead to self-destruction.

But when we are seeking His perfect Will for our lives, not only do we successfully avoid many of the pitfalls that come with running life on self-will but we are also able to find true fulfillment that is so elusive to countless people.
