The Principle of Daily Renewal: I need to take daily note of my actions, reactions and beliefs.

Daily renewal is a difficult process for many people. It involves sitting down and reviewing your past, whether it is the past 24-hour or the past 24 years. It involves honesty and discipline. It takes the courage to face the harm that you have or may have caused. It takes a real leveling of your pride and ego. It takes the strength and commitment to make things right and admit that you were wrong. It lifts people up and shows them you care.

The people who have overcome the main issues involved in practicing the fundamental of daily renewal still find it difficult; But why? It makes life better and makes you more successful. Everybody wants that. I think. The main problem, I believe, is in making daily renewal a habit. Make it something you do everyday and before long it won’t even be an issue. It will just become a part of daily life.

You wouldn’t go to bed at night before brushing your teeth or doing any other tasks necessary to your health and well-being. It’s should be the same with this fundamental. Make it a part of your life. Make it an important part! Develop the habit of doing this daily. Do it until you don’t have to think about doing it anymore… then it’s a habit. You will reap tremendous benefits and results.

If done correctly, and made a habit, soon, when you get into bed after your day is finished, you won’t seem quite right without practicing this simple exercise (assuming you have done the work already with removing the “debris” from your past). After practicing this fundamental until this point it will become automatic and easy.

The Principle of Daily Renewal: I need to take daily note of my actions, reactions and beliefs.

Many of us, after a busy day of working, running errands and attending social events, just come home, put our feet up, grab some popcorn or ice cream and just plop ourselves down in front of the television and drift off into oblivion. We did work hard, right? We deserve this “relaxation”; after all we lead very busy lives.

You deserve better! You deserve to have a life that is designed by God. You deserve to be free of stress and worry. You deserve to be in contact with your Creator. You deserve at least 30 minutes (I prefer at least an hour) every day to be quiet and still. I call this time “quiet time”. You can call it whatever you like… just do it! It will change your life in great ways.

I find it funny that even those of us who do pray every single day, find it difficult, if not impossible, to take thirty minutes to an hour of “quiet time” every day. Prayer is when we speak to God and that’s easy for us to do. We just go down our laundry list of things we want, need and think we need and want, then go about our day. Quiet time is when we allow God to go down His list of things that He wants for us and things He says we need.

Your life will take on new meaning when you begin to incorporate this critical time into your daily life. You will feel God’s presence and direction in your life. You will gain wisdom and insight to deal with your problems and challenges. You will become so much more effective and efficient that you will actually have more time in your day and not less. Try it today.

In order for this program of fundamentals to have a major impact on your life, they must be practiced. What do I mean by that? Well, you must be constantly trying to improve yourself in every one of the fundamentals. Take care of the fundamentals and life will take care of you. The fundamentals are the responsibilities that we have, as God’s creation, upon this earth.

You decide how you live! You can get so caught up in this world chasing all of its material trappings and spiritual pitfalls. You can sit still and do nothing, hoping that things will work out in your life and one day you will be happy. You can focus your life and your being on spiritual growth and the pursuit of your vision. The choice is yours!

How will you live today?

Today’s fast paced society leaves little room for self. Unfortunately, taking care of self is the very thing that will lead to success and happiness in every area of life. We live in a society that is constantly barraging us with information; most of it useless.

In order to avoid this overload, it is important to have a period of “Daily Renewal” every single day. This will help to energize you and get you ready for the challenges of life.

Start small! Try taking a five-minute break from your day. Gradually work up to an hour or more. Doing this will help in all areas of your life, giving you renewed energy and enthusiasm in everything you do.
